Your therapist
My name is Kimm Boum Bletterman. Originally, I am an exercise therapist. I have worked in a small professional practice in Schiedam, where I have treated patients with many different ailments such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, psychosomatic complaints, postural impediments, gait insufficiency, RSI, disc problems, arthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Bechterew, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, hyperventilation, etc. I also have working experience at the rheumatology and trauma units at the Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum, the academic hospital in Leiden. In the trauma ward I’ve treated patients who suffered from external injury, varying from simple fractures to complicated injuries. In the rheumatology ward I’ve treated patients with different kinds of rheumatic ailments, with exercise and hydrotherapy (the latter involves guided exercise in a heated swimming pool).
Despite the rewarding results which are achieved with exercise therapy, I have also experienced it has its limitations. Hence I studied therapeutic fascial massage in 2006. At the end of 2007 I started working at a lifestyle salon where I worked as a therapeutic masseuse for 1,5 years. I have now started my own practice, Elemiah Massage. At the beginning of 2009, I also completed my study (sports) massage techniques and a course in chair massage.
My massages are known for their deep intensity and direct effectiveness, combined with a
relaxing, informal and open atmosphere where anyone can be themselves.
